Having loved “Midnight in Paris”, I’ll cut to the chase and say Woody Allen’s latest is a big let down. You’re only as good as your last, and Allen should’ve heeded this and took more time with the script. This stellar cast couldn’t save a film marred with plot holes and a faux surrealism that never quite clicks. The primary storyline involving Jesse Eisenberg and Ellen Page had great potential, but was diluted by sharing it’s running time with the other 2 storylines, that in my opinion could’ve easily gone away. Do yourself a favor, wait for Netflix, Redbox, or cable.
